I think nails take most of the stress when it is summer! We all go minimal on the makeup but rock out
through our nails I thought I would share my small routine that keeps my nails/hands from looking
dull! I don't really get manicures because they feel like a hassle and I ruin my fingers even before I reach home
Ohh another thing, I've very weak finger nails. They peel and break like a plain old potato chip (oh my comparisons hahaa) So, without further rambling here is my list:
- Burt's Bees Hand Salve' I bought this tin few years ago and it is still going amazing! It is for dry hands, the balm has oil consistency but absorbs very quickly. It instantly gives dry hands a healthy glow, it does have a herbal scent which I actually like.
- Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream' Another amazing product from Burt's Bees! It is this solid butter that melts as you rub it (similar to hand salve) and has actually reduced my hang nails. It does have this lemony scent which is not too strong.
- Deborah Lippmann Polish Remover' If you hate that acetone smell and prefer less aggressive ingredients for nails, this is it! Oh that lavender smell does feel luxurious, it removes polish easily without during my nails. But it is pricey and is really bad at removing glitter nail polish!
- OPI Top and Base Coat' I don't really have much to say about these two because they do the job but nothing extraordinaire! I'm just waiting to get done with these, the base is good but the top coat is too thick and takes quite a while to dry even after being a quick dry coat! These are expensive and I think they are better alternatives.
What top and base coat do you recommend?
