Herbivore Botanicals Skin Care

I discovered Herbivore Botanicals through Urban Outfitters, I'm always on the UO website looking through their natural skin care collection. I think UO's website is the best place to look for indie/natural products, I always want to grab everything I see on there lol
To my surprise Herbivore Botanicals is from Seattle surprised and all of their products have these unique ingredients that are probably not known to man kind! So, they provide great details on their website (p.s their website is beautiful)

Facial Oil / Lapis
After using Josie Maran argan oil, I was hooked on facial oils! I wanted to look more into the natural facial oils and that's when I found LAPIS!!! First it is blue in color, how cool is that eek They say the blue color comes from the eygptian stone lapis and the compound azulene found in it gives the oil anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.

I have been dealing with acne from a while now and I wanted something simple yet effective. I would say the pro things about this oil were:
  1. It balanced the oils on my face, I have combination skin and this worked perfectly for the dry patches.
  2. It didn't let any major breakout/acne to show up on my face. I would say it didn't completely got rid of my acne because my small spots were still there.
  3. It is effective in reducing redness, I usually have redness around my cheeks due to acne and even the acne that cleared up.
I would say one con would be the price, it is little on the expensive side. They do sell roller size to try out which is great. Overall, I would say to try their facial oils if you want to try something new and get definite benefits from them  smile

SOAP / BAMBOO CHARCOAL

Next, I kind of also got swayed in to buy their Bamboo Charcoal Cleansing Soap! I mean look at it, how simple that bar looks. Why are there all these other ingredients in main stream products when the basic natural things work amazingly.

This soap as the name says has bamboo charcoal, tea tree, coconut and other amazing ingredients. Charcoal has become very popular in recent years for it's detoxifying properties but always the products with charcoal doesn't have just charcoal, it has all other junk too.

I use this soap right on my face after removing makeup and my face feels so clean, bright, and again CLEAN! I love how there is no fuss to use it. It does the job it is suppose to do, cleans my face and lets my oil to do it's work!  biggrin (p.s it is not expensive at all, this bar would last me a long time).

Lastly, one thing I would recommend if nothing from Herbivore Botanicals is their lip butters! I got the rose lip butter, and if I had to describe in two words it would be SMELLS HEAVENLY!! I hate the artificial smell of rose and this smells like a fresh bouquet of roses.

It has shea butter and other oils, so it moisturizes without any doubt. Although I had imagined this to be a heavy lip butter, surprisingly it is very light to apply. I use it in the day time too!

They have blood orange and mint lip butters, I have been just waiting until I finish my rose so I can grab those too lol

I think the next thing I will grab is their body scrubs and bath salts! They seem as great as their skin care line.
Almost forgot, I love their packaging too! It is so clean and fancy smile

Have you heard of Herbivore Botanicals?  I think they are slowly getting famous around beauty community as I think Essie button did mention them for their bath salts!
