August favorites + Skin Care edition

I can't believe it is going to be September soon! It feels like if June was just here! Feeling little down because here in Seattle it's already weeks of rain and sky full of clouds sad August was mainly focused on skin care for me. I actually skipped makeup because I'm not dealing with any active acne and even though I have dark spots here and there from past acne, I'm happy with it smile

  Josie Maran Argan Oil (Light)

First I really want to start with the Josie Maran argan oil, it has really saved my skin! I was struggling to find a good moisturizer that would work with my combination skin. I was scared to use this on my skin at first because of it being an oil! But not only it provides me with perfect moisture, it also helps skin from any new acne! I think the light version is great for combination and oily skin, and the original is better for people with more on the dry side!

Lush Grease Lightening (Tea Tree Spot Treatment)

Another amazing skin saver is the Lush tea tree gel! This month the skin was good to me like I said but this came to rescue when I felt weird about not using anything for acne haha I don't know if it's just me but even when my skin is good, I'm scared it will go bad by the next morning confused The spot treatment has clear gel texture, and it is made of all vegan+natural ingredients. It is great natural product for acne, I always got to this to keep my acne at bay!

L'occitane Pivoine Delicate Hand Cream

Oh my, L'occitane really knows how to make an amazing hand cream! I love scented hand creams, they really help me relax. The texture and smell of this hand cream is beautiful, it smells like a bouquet of fresh peonies ( I love peonies  biggrin) It is non greasy on the hands and quickly absorbs into the skin! The fragrance is strong at first but it settles down into this long lasting delicate peony smell!

First Aid Beauty Deep Cleanser With Red Clay

I bought this while back, when it was recently out but I never got to using it. But I finally decided to use it because of the summer heat! I have combination skin, so I really wanted something that would  clean my pores! It is an amazing cleanser overall, it didn't break me out and helped balancing my skin. It doesn't dry out my skin like the other cleansers I've tried, the skin feels clean and balanced. It is basically a no fuss cleanser, it is a red clay gel that cleans your skin!

Sephora Face Complexion Brush

This is my all time favorites, whenever I don't feel like using my hands or the clarisonic, I always got to this! It is better than using the hands and the shape is just perfect for the face. It is easy, gentle and most of all it exfoliates the skin without being too harsh; for $7 it is great!

Garnier Fructis Marvelous Oil (Deep Nourish)

lastly, I've been using this hair oil from Garnier. I bought this because I wanted something that can be used as a leave in on both dry and wet hair. It does what it says, it makes my hair soft and gives it a healthy shine. I even use tiny bit on my roots and it doesn't make it look oily! The only thing I didn't like about it was the ingredients used in this product. I really try to use things that doesn't have too many harsh chemicals but I was just reading the ingredients last week or so and the top half of the ingredients are just alcohol and silicone. So, it is not really helping my hair but masking the quality.  It is a good product for faking good hair but not actually helping it.

What were your this month's favorite?

  1. That mini brush thing looks awesome, it's a shame we don't have a Sephora in England. I would looove to try that cleanser too and the Josie Maran Argan Oil :) My ultimate favourite for this month was the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery and Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution because it works.

  2. Hi Anjna :) That is just brutal, sephora really needs to open in England. If it can open in India, it can open in England! I hope you can visit U.S and get your hands on them :) You wont believe I was just looking at Kiehl's dark spot corrector, I just got it yesterday and a sample of midnight :D Thank you for visiting!
